My name is Kali Spalding and I attend Saint Anthony School in Wailuku, Maui. I am having a book drive for children at Kapiolani Medical Center on Oahu as my eighth-grade community service project. I love to read! Reading has helped me become a better student and a life long learner. It hurts me to realize many children and young adults don't have access to books they may be interested in or need. I hope, through my book drive, to comfort children that may find peace in the pages of a good book.

Book Drive for Kapiolani Women's and Children's Medical Center

Thus far, we have received approximately 250 children's books from Barnes & Noble on Maui. We have been blessed by their support for this project. Mahalo Nui Loa to Barnes & Noble.
We will be collecting donations of new books at Saint Anthony School beginning Monday, September 11th through Friday, September 22nd. We'll be collecting middle school through high school level books. Flyers will be posted around campus and marked donation boxes will be placed within easy access.
LOOK FOR THOSE DONATION BOXES AND LET'S FILL THEM TO THE BRIM!
